Au Pair Programme America (USA)

Young people from almost all countries can become an au pair in America (USA). Only citizens from countries that do not have any iplomatic relations with the USA are excluded.

Please note: In the US it is obligatory for au pairs and host families to contact a designated au pair agency or sponsor! Your future au pair needs to have a J-1 Visa to legally work for you. The au pair can obtain this visa only through one of the 14 US designated agencies.

Step 1: Find an au pair

Step 2: Contact an agency

Please choose one of the 14 US designated au pair agencies together with your au pair and contact it. The chosen agency will organize the official and legal au pair placement. Besides, it will take care of many formalities (visa, air tickets, au pair courses, etc.).
